While these script pages were publically released, it could easily be argued that they contain spoilers for the second season of ‘Stranger Things‘ so you’ve been warned if you want to go in without knowing anything. The Netflix smash hit has taken our hearts by storm, and now we’ve learned a bit about a new location that we’ll see in the upcoming episodes and a new character! Oh, also the Duffer Brothers have made a comment about Will that everyone could have guessed but does confirm what we’ve all been thinking.
That is, “Just because Will was rescued from the Upside Down doesn’t mean he’s safe.” I’m pretty sure with our last shot of Will from Season 1 that it was going to be pretty obvious that the Upside Down wasn’t done with the boys, and Will specifically.
What new location are we getting? Well, we do have a bunch of kids in the 80s so, of course, there is going to be an arcade that they’d love to frequent! The arcade in Hawkins, Indiana is known as The Palace and will also be where we first meet Sadie Sink’s Max. Let’s just say; we’re introduced to Max in a way that will have Dustin scrambling for one of the most important things in his life as well!

It doesn’t sound like she’s shown on screen at this moment but we’ll likely actually meet her sooner than later. We’re also introduced to Keith:
“Keith is a new character who works at The Palace. He’s several years older than our boys, but he’s somehow less mature. The only thing he likes more than Cheetos is Nancy.”
While arcades aren’t nearly as popular these days as they once were, their existence is weaved into the fabric of anyone who grew up in the 80s, and I love the addition. I suspect that we’ll be seeing quite a few moments spent here while not out dealing with the threat from this season.
