One of the more recent entrants to the televised world of the MCU is the soon-to-premiere ‘Inhumans,’ which will open with a special IMAX theatrical premiere before moving to ABC on a weekly basis. Now, Marvel has given us a new video showcasing the characters we’ll meet in the series, along with some behind-the-scenes style mini-interviews with some of the creative team.
Take a look:
“The Inhumans live on Attilan, which is on the dark side of the Moon. There is a royal family, that has existed for a great deal of time… within the royal family there’s a revolt, between the two rivaling brothers. When you’re going on an adventure with Marvel, you know that what you’re getting involved in is something absolutely breathtaking.”
The initial trailer for the series, when released, left fans feeling largely underwhelmed, with complaints focusing on the lack of visual flair and a seemingly missing attention to detail in the characterization of the various team members. The Marvel Cinematic Universe in film form has seen many more hits than misses, and the same can be said of Marvel’s televised fare so far as well, although the small-screen offerings have usually not been as lauded as the big-screen fare. ‘Inhumans’ will join Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ airing on ABC, as opposed to the comic company’s streaming-only fare on Netflix.
According to series creators, the trailers we’ve seen so far are not the “finished product,” so fans may wish to reserve judgment about the series until they get to see one or more episodes live.
‘Inhumans’ premieres in IMAX theaters on September 1, 2017, before moving to ABC on September 29, 2017.
