Round two of my San Diego Comic Con Cosplay collection shows off more of the outstanding costumes found this past weekend in San Diego, with many fans choosing to go with classic characters, only putting their own unique twists on them. There was the Radical Stormtrooper (I believe that was what he was calling himself, I did not dub him that) who highlighted the Imperial white of his armor with the neon colors of the rainbow, the neon pink Chewie who stood beside a pink Admiral Ackbar and short-shorted (and mustached) Han Solo, the Deadpool sporting the San Diego motto from ‘Anchorman’, all the way to the ‘Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ Link decked out on a Hyrule style motorcycle riding behind Batman on the bat-cycle. Truly there was a lot of head-turners this year.
Also, it was fun seeing parents getting their kids into the action, with kids dressed up like the Flash and Supergirl riding around in strollers decked out with lightning (for the Flash baby) and the Fortress of Solitude (for the Supergirl baby). I also ran into a woman dressed as the classic ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ Harley Quinn, who in my opinion might have had the best looking Harley Quinn costume there (and there were a lot of them, trust me). She was very stoked to be at Comic Con, and so into her role that she did not break character even while I was speaking to her. My absolute favorite of this collection of cosplay pics has to be the baby dressed up as Wicket from ‘Return of the Jedi’ whose brilliant parents decorated his stroller to look like an enormous FUNKO POP box, which made everyone who saw it smile at the ingenuity of the idea.
