tom holland spider-man marvel one shot

The short Marvel One-Shot films were a staple of the home releases for every Marvel Studios film and Tom Holland has hinted that they’ll be heading back into production. We haven’t seen one since ‘Iron Man 3‘ was released back in 2013 and they have been sorely missed by fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, the new Spider-Man actor potentially has some amazing news on that front!

The way things started off was just a dream scenario of the fact that he’d love to work with Paul Rudd as Spidey and Ant-Man would be great to have some solid on-screen time together:

“I want to do a short. That’s what I want to do. I want to do a 20-minute short with me and Paul Rudd.”

Of course, he was quickly reminded that Marvel Studios used to create short films for their home releases at which point Marvel’s Black Ops teams were clearly preparing to take the young actor out as he stated that:

“Yeah, I think they are planning on doing it again. I probably just spoiled a big spoiler. Kevin Feige’s probably going to be furious.”

Feige might be furious, but if this proves to be true then fans everywhere are going to be thrilled and have one more reason to be sure to pick up the home release of their favorite superhero films. There have been five One-Shots released to date and throwing them back in would be great as they not only gave us a bit of extra humor but character development and plot explanations as well.

Let’s be honest, watching Ant-Man and Spider-Man taking on a villain while cracking jokes would be pretty spectacular to see on the big screen.

Do you think Holland just slipped us some fantastic news for future home releases by Marvel Studios? Do you think these are set to begin with ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ or even sooner? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
