Well, as long as we are waiting for Season 7 to finally get here, I suppose it makes sense for the fans on the internet to have a little fun with the six seasons of ‘Game of Thrones‘ we do have. And what better way to keep us entertained than to take Gloria Gaynor’s classic song ‘I Will Survive’ and cut together scenes from the first six seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’ so it looks like the entire cast is singing.
The video works so well with the show because, for so many of the characters singing along, they will NOT survive. At this point in the series, we truly have no idea who will survive, though everyone is hopeful for the survival of their favorites. Of course, we’re fairly certain some characters like Jon and Dany will make it farther than others, but at the end of the day, this is still ‘Game of Thrones.’ No other show has enjoyed robbing us of beloved characters that we hope to see succeed in quite the same way as ‘Thrones’ has over the years.
So check out the video below where you can see characters old and new, including Joffrey, Ned, Rob, Stannis, Robert the King, the Hound, etc as they “sing” “I Will Survive,” and take you down a brief nostalgic trip to ‘Game of Thrones’ past. The video includes many clips from over the course of the series, even from way back when we started watching and were perhaps naive enough to think that many of the characters we were meeting truly had a chance of survival.
