While the trailer for Spike’s ‘The Mist‘ already had me sold on this 10-episode series, the new teaser has me even more invested. Clearly, it has a vibe that feels like something out of the book and is exactly why Stephen King praised how they’re adapting his work.
Things are not looking good for the residents of Bridgeville, Maine and after this teaser, they look even worse. The best part is that we seem to be getting a tease of multiple groups of survivors which will be interesting to see compared to just those who are stuck in a supermarket.

Based on a story by Stephen King, THE MIST has been re-imagined for television by Executive Producer and Writer Christian Torpe and produced for Spike by TWC-Dimension Television. Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends, and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
THE MIST stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr. and Frances Conroy.
In the teaser, we see that when you “take away food, take away water, people start doing bad things.” This looks to be very true and while I thought the movie did an excellent job at telling King’s story, this is a world ripe for being expanded upon as long as they don’t overdo it on the number of seasons.

‘The Mist’ will enshroud Spike on Thursday, June 22nd at 10 PM, ET/PT
