To paraphrase Ripley from ‘Aliens,’ “Get away from her, you BITCH!”
20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for ‘Alien: Covenant,’ the next installment of the ‘Alien’ line of films that will make you believe that there is still life in the franchise. Ridley Scott had promised that this one would bring back the horror of the first two films and he wasn’t kidding!
Scott also promised that we’d see a new Xenomorph and you get a really good look at it here, from its baby phase to adulthood, but the best view of what it is capable of is when… well, I’ll let you watch the trailer to find out:
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
I must admit, I was a bit lukewarm with ‘Prometheus’ but this trailer has me nostalgic hoping that it will bring the same excitement and scares that ‘Alien’ and ‘Aliens’ brought.
What did you think of the trailer? Are you ready for ‘Alien: Covenant’?
‘Alien: Covenant’ stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby and opens in theaters on May 19th.
