justice-league

While critics and fans lambasted ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ for quite a few reasons, one of the standouts when not too dark were the visuals and it looks like ‘Justice League‘ will be keeping that style. Not the darker tones according to rumors but the actual cinematography which looked spectacular in iMax and on 4k televisions at home. Hopefully, the DCEU has learned from its mistake as ‘Wonder Woman’ already appears to have a different tone and one can only hope that Zack Snyder hasn’t found a way to wreck ‘Justice League’ when it hits the big screen this November.

Fabian Wagner, who is the cinematographer for ‘Justice League’ shared a photo of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and says that Larry Fong’s work on ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ inspired his style for the movie.

Here is what he shared and had to say about it:

While Wagner might somewhat emulate Fong’s style here one can only hope he goes in his own direction. As any ‘Game of Thrones’ fan can tell you his work on “The Battle of the Bastards” was eye-catching to say the least, and I hope he brings his A-game here. DC needs it.

Are you looking forward to ‘Justice League’? Do you feel that Wagner’s work will at least keep the movie looking amazing if it falls flat in other areas as ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ did? Share your thoughts below!

Synopsis:

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, ‘Justice League’ is set to be the flagship entry in DC’s burgeoning cinematic universe. The film features returning stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot alongside a wave of newcomers, including Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher and J.K. Simmons. ‘Justice League’ will land in theaters on November 17, 2017.
