Transformers: The Last Knight

The trailer for’Transformers: The Last Knight’debuted during the Super Bowl and while it doesn’t give a lot away in regard to the plot of the movie (if there is one), it does show something that fans probably weren’t expecting.

Mark Wahlberg is back as human anchor Cade Yeager, but it doesn’t appear that his sidekicks Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor (from ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’) are returning for another go-around.  He is in good company however, as he is joined by esteemed actor Anthony Hopkins.  (You know, the one true Hannibal Lecter.)

But the stars are really the robots in disguise and this installment seems to offer a battle that fans may not have been expecting– stalwart leader Optimus Prime versus Bumblebee!

It appears that Optimus falls for some form of mind control, which pits him against the fan favorite droid.  Beyond that… your guess is as good as mine.

Check out the trailer below:

While Peltz and Reynor are not included in the latest mix, Stanley Tucci is back as Joshua Joyce, a role he originated in ‘Age of Exitinction’.  There also appears to be a time travel element as the characters will apparently travel back to the age of Camelot, with Liam Garrigan playing King Arthur and Martin McCreadie as Lancelot (among others).

Among the verterans, Josh Duhamel is returning as Lt. Lennox.  He will also be joined by Isabela Moner as Izabella, a younger character that may inherit the franchise.  (That’s just a guess.)  John Turturro is also included in this cast.

Beyond that… well, there’s sure to be some metal against metal action!

What’s going on with this clip?  Why are the Autobots fighting amongst one another?
