Casting is ramping up for Domino in ‘Deadpool 2‘ as a huge list of actors have reportedly read for the role. While we’d love to share with you a short list of who will be playing this amazing mutant, it does appear that 10 names have actually tested for the role so far and I can’t say who has beeen narrowed down quite yet. Working across from Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with the Mouth as the only set of films in the ‘X-Men’ franchise which still has universal appeal thanks to the breakout first installment, this is a role that they might literally fight one another for.

They might have to as well!

So who are the known potential candidates? So far the following ladies have read to work across from Wade and probably have the chance to give him the onscreen beatdown which he’ll most likely deserve:

  • Mackenzie Davis (‘Halt and Catch Fire’)
  • Ruby Rose (‘Orange Is the New Black’)
  • Eve Hewson (‘The Knick’)
  • Kelly Rohrbach (‘Baywatch’)
  • Lizzy Caplan (‘Masters of Sex’)
  • Mary Elizabeth Winstead (’10 Cloverfield Lane’)
  • Sienna Miller (‘American Sniper’)
  • Sofia Boutella (‘Star Trek Beyond’)
  • Stephanie Sigman (‘Spectre’)
  • Sylvia Hoeks (‘Overspel’)

There are a lot of good names on that list but personally, I think Sofia Boutella would be perfect for the role.

For those unfamiliar with Domino, she is a mutant that has telekinetic powers which she has no direct control over but turns probability in her favor. Also, like Deadpool, she happens to be a mercenary. She has a long-standing connection with both Cable and Deadpool and it wouldn’t surprise me if they introduced her working for Cable when the two meet.

At this point no release date has been set for the film as Fox is allowing the creative team to make a proper sequel and not just have one finished up by a deadline. Clearly, they know that this is a franchise that could be quite profitable if done right.

Are you looking forward to ‘Deadpool 2’? Which of these actors do you think would be perfect to tackle the role of Domino? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
