After making waves as part of The Black List, Sony enlisted Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence and fan favorite actor Chris Pratt last year to lead ‘Passengers’ from director Morten Tyldum and writer Jon Spaihts. The film about two people who were prematurely woken up from suspended animation during a trip through space landed on many most anticipated lists (including ours), but nothing had been released from the production for some time. However, that recently changed as the first trailer hit the web last week. Now, we have another look at the lovable stars as they explore their surroundings.

Earlier this week, the studio released two brand new stills from the upcoming sci-fi romance featuring Lawrence and Pratt as Aurora Dunn and Jim Preston. In the shots, the duo looks somewhat distressed as they wander around the massive ship following their unexpected wake up call. You can check them out below:

On a routine journey through space to a new home, two passengers, sleeping in suspended animation, are awakened 90 years too early when their ship malfunctions. As Jim and Aurora face living the rest of their lives on board, with every luxury they could ever ask for, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction… until they discover the ship is in grave danger. With the lives of 5000 sleeping passengers at stake, only Jim and Aurora can save them all.

‘Passengers’ starring Chris Pratt, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, and Aurora Perrineau wakes up in theaters on December 21, 2016.
