‘Justice League’ may still be a full fourteen months away from release, but with production well under way, that just means it’s the perfect time for the producers to start letting some teases slip onto the internet.
As divisive a film as ‘Batman v Superman‘ ultimately proved to be, one thing audiences and critics alike seemed to agree on was the strength of Ben Affleck’s performance as Batman. With that in mind, it came as little surprise that the ‘Justice League‘ teaser footage released at San Diego Comic Con centered on Bruce Wayne. Likewise, when Snyder took to Twitter earlier this afternoon, it was only natural that any teases he offered would be Bat-themed.
It was in that spirit that Snyder posted an image from the ‘Justice League’ set of Ben Affleck in what Snyder referred to as the “tactical Batsuit”. As the name implies, the tactical Batsuit is a more heavily armored version of Batman’s iconic costume. As such, the design of this particular suit has much more in common with the suit worn by Christian Bale’s Batman than that seen in either of Ben Affleck’s previous appearances as the Caped Crusader. Whether the tactical Batsuit will be the primary suit featured in ‘Justice League’ or one of a number of variants, similar to the numerous Batsuits we saw in ‘Batman v Superman’ has yet to be seen.
