After a surprisingly positive showing in the first film, the rebooted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back for more wacky reptilian (yes, turtles are reptiles, not amphibians – look it up, I swear it’s true!) action in the forthcoming ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.’  The 2014 franchise reboot film raked in excellent numbers at the box office and met with general praise and excitement from both critics and audiences alike, so a sequel seemed like a natural extension.  Hitting theaters soon, we’ve got your look at the last trailer released before the movie drops!

The film is another Michael Bay joint, so if you’re into his vibe, this one should be right up your alley.  It promises lots of action sequences – each more fantastical than the last, no doubt – and slapstick comedy aplenty.

Here’s the trailer for you:

In addition to our quartet of green heroes, the movie sees the return of Megan Fox as reporter April O’Neil, Will Arnett as sorta-sidekick Vernon, and Brian Tee as uber-villain The Shredder.  New to this film are CGI-ed bad guys Bebop and Rocksteady, Stehpen Amell as hockey-mask-wearing vigilante Casey Jones, and Brad Garrett lending his voice to gross-looking-alien-fellow Krang.

Here is the premise of the film, as described by Wikipedia:

The Turtles comes into conflict with T.C.R.I. scientist Dr. Baxter Stockman and the return of their enemy, The Shredder, who has hired Stockman to create mutants of his own in the form of Bebop and Rocksteady to even the score, during which the Turtles discover a Retro-Mutagen in hopes they can become humans. Following an extraterrestrial invasion above New York City led by the Dimension X inhabitant known as Krang. Upon Krang’s Invasion, the Turtles are joined in the fight with their Master Splinter, their human friends April O’Neil, Vern Fenwick and new friend, vigilante Casey Jones.

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’ opens in US theaters on June 3, 2016.
