The full cast list of Showtime’s ‘Twin Peaks‘ revival has been revealed and it is coming in at 217 actors! This is of course including not just the main characters but extras as well. What is very interesting though is just not which cast members are and aren’t returning but some of the cameos being made by major actors. You have to wonder if these are fans of David Lynch’s work who have been dying for a chance to work with the legendary director or just stumbled onto the set one day and were worked into production.
After how long we’ve been without an update on who will actually star in the revival, this is quite a big reveal. So, if you want to read the full list I’ll show it below and under that we can go into a breakdown on some of the more notable names on the list!
So we’ve known Laura Dern was set to join the cast as well as Naomi Watts but a few of these guest names were really a surprise. Michael Cera, Ashley Judd, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Trent Reznor, Eddie Vedder, and Lynch himself popping up were all interesting surprises.
For returning cast members it looks like David Duchovny is back as Agent Dennis, Phoebe Augustine as Ronette Pulaski, Ray Wise and Grace Zabriskie who played Laura’s parents are both back, Madchen Amick returns as Shelly Johnson, Dana Ashbrook as Bobby, and Sherilyn Fenn as Audrey Horne. Obviously Kyle MacLachlan is set to reprise his role though we’ve known for quite some time. Sadly while Catherine Coulson has passed it looks like The Log Lady did film a few scenes and will be showing up in the series as well.
A slew of other cast members also do seem to be appearing as well. It looks like the reunion that we’ve all been waiting for is finally at hand.
