Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

In ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘ we saw the remains of a damaged weapon that was on display with Robin‘s suit but in its original iteration, the weapon was intact and quite lethal. We all know that something horrible happened to The Boy Wonder in the DC Cinematic Universe well before the events of the film, but it seems that just like Batman being up for being a bit more extreme than his general comic book counterpart, Robin was fully following in his footsteps.

In the ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice: Tech Manual’ we see that just like the Batman of this world has no problem using guns, Robin’s lethal weapon of choice wasn’t a quarterstaff but more of a halberd. You couldn’t tell from the initial shot in the film of Robin’s suit that you can see below:

But in the tech manual we see quite a bit more detail:

So yes, this Robin who may or may not have been Jason Todd and may or may not be dead was also willing to kill. Not only kill but do so in quite a painful manner. However, the previous iteration ended up being cut per director Zack Snyder’s orders.

It’ll be interesting to see if the weapon was used in defense against The Joker or was actually used on Robin himself in the hands of the Clown Prince of Crime. I suppose we’ll have to wait for either ‘Suicide Squad‘ or the stand-alone Batman movie to find that one out.

Are you okay with Robin being a lethal killing machine in the world of ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ or should his death be what put Bruce over the edge? Share your thoughts below!
