“Avengers assemble!” is a phrase that True Believers everywhere will recognize. For decades, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes came together in the long boxes of your favorite comic shops across the country. Then, they were welcomed into your homes via your television sets. And more recently, the likes of Captain America, Thor, Loki, and the Winter Soldier have invaded theaters with their blockbuster movies. But thanks to Wizard World, there’s only one place where they will all come together for fans to meet them live and in person.
After already announcing major guests such as ‘X-Files’ star David Duchovny, ‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell, and ‘The Walking Dead’ star Norman Reedus, Wizard World Philadelphia revealed that they would be bringing together ‘Back to the Future’ stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Lea Thompson, along with co-creator Bob Gale and ‘Back to the Future: The Ultimate Visual History’ writer Michael Klastorin, for an unprecedented convention experience that fans in the City of Brotherly Love have never seen before. However, this week they upped the ante with “the greatest collection of Marvel stars in one convention setting” because Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Stanley Tucci, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Frank Grillo will all be in attendance at the traveling con’s annual Philly stop this year.
These stars have all appeared at Wizard conventions in the past, but never before have so many been gathered in one con at one time in the United States outside of San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con. And to sweeten the pot, this will be Hiddleston’s only convention appearance this year. So what better way to meet the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s resident trickster god than alongside his brother and his allies from ‘The Avengers’, ‘Agent Carter’, and the upcoming ‘Captain America: Civil War’?
In addition to appearing at panels and autograph signings, a wide variety of VIP admission photo op packages for individual and groups of the Marvel stars are now available and can be found at wizd.me/PhilaMarvel. Although, these meet and greet opportunities don’t come cheap. A number of talent such as Evans and Hiddleston are only accessible by purchasing a VIP pass, which run anywhere from $275 to $1350. Interestingly enough though, some of these options aren’t even available anymore because they’ve already sold out. So if you plan to meet the stars of the MCU at the Philadelphia Convention Center from June 2-5, you better get your tickets to Wizard World Philly right away.
