After the surprise fan events earlier this month and the press screenings last week, we learned that ‘Deadpool’ does in fact have a post-credits scene. But it looks like the Merc With A Mouth has a few more surprises up his sleeve before his solo film hits theaters this week because apparently there is more than one special treat worth sticking around for after the movie is over.
Over the weekend, Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld took to his Twitter to share that is a second post-credits scene that has been withheld from all the preview screenings of the long-awaited and highly anticipated film from Tim Miller. The prominent comic writer and artist even provided some additional references in the form of director Miller and producer Simon Kinberg if you don’t believe him:
And there is another you did not see! There’s TWO! https://t.co/gJugs97DIi

I said it in front of the IMAX screening and Tim and Simon nodded “Yes”. Held back from previews. https://t.co/BKJlQMI7oP

Although, if Liefeld’s word still isn’t enough for you, the movie’s co-writer Rhett Reese also chimed in to confirm that no audience has seen Wade Wilson’s X-Men spinoff in it’s entirety yet:
No one who’s seen Deadpool so far has seen *all* of Deadpool. There’s a second coda that won’t arrive ’til the movie screens in theaters…

Not that I really needed another reason to see the film again, but with the promise of another post-credits scene, another trip to the theater is almost certainly in the cards for myself and probably most of my colleagues who were lucky enough to attend a screening already too. Until then, let us know how excited you all are about finally getting a proper adaptation of ‘Deadpool’ on the big screen in the comments below.
Synopsis:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, ‘Deadpool’ tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
‘Deadpool’ starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Gina Carano, and Ed Skrein hits theaters on February 12, 2016.
