With only 10 days left till ‘Deadpool’ hits theaters, it is to be expected that the marketing machine for the unconventional superhero movie will be hitting its peak, with countless still images, clips, promos, TV Spots, and special guest appearances planned for the character in the next week, the biggest of which will of course be during the Superbowl. For now, we have a handful of new still images released from the film, as a well as some new TV Spots (everything below) that you can check out.
The “Year of the Monkey” spot does not have any new footage from the film itself, but does have an amusing introduction from Deadpool, while the new International TV Spot does contain some new footage from the film, so tread lightly if you wanted to go in fresh.
Other than that, we have some news from the ratings department, as it has been announced that the film will receive a rating of 15 in the UK and Ireland, which is equivalent to getting a PG-13 here in the US for ‘strong bloody violence, strong language, sex references.” Does this mean that ‘Deadpool” it not nearly as graphic and violent as we were all hoping it would be? With news of a raw Director’s Cut to be released in the fall, ‘Deadpool’ might actually end up tamer than audiences are expecting, but it could also be that the movie ratings folks (the BBFC) in the UK are just not as strict as the good old MPAA.
What are your thoughts on ‘Deadpool’ getting a 15 in the UK? Does it make you worried, or does it not even matter? Share your opinions below!
