‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’ doesn’t open until November, but fans can’t wait to revisit the Wizarding World created by J.K. Rowling in the ‘Harry Potter’ books and movies.  It was at a ‘Potter’ event in Orlando that a new behind-the-scenes featurette for ‘Fantastic Beasts’ was unveiled.

Set in New York City in 1926, the new movie focuses on Newt Scamander, a British magizoologist who travels with a magic case he uses to collect mystic creatures, but upon his visit to the Big Apple, some of these beasts get free, setting off the adventure in the film.  Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne stars as Scamander and he is joined by two American magic users, the Goldstein sisters, Katherine Waterston as Tina and Alison Sudol as Queenie.  Tony Award winner Dan Folger plays Nomaj Jacob, a war veteran who only wants to open a bakery, when he finds himself embroiled in this magical escapade.

J.K. Rowling herself provides the screenplay for this movie (her first), with ‘Potter’ vet David Yates returning to direct.

The cast also includes Ezra Miller as Credence, Samantha Morton as M Lou, Jon Voight as Henry Shaw Sr., Ron Perlman as Gnarlack, Carmen Ejogo as Seraphina, Jenn Murray as Chastity, Faith Wood-Blagrove as Modesty and Colin Farrell as Percival Graves.

Are you excited to get a glimpse of the American side of the Wizarding World?  What do you think of this magical tale that isn’t directly connected to ‘Harry Potter’?

‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ opens on November 18.
