Whether we want to or not, everyone sets or at least thinks of resolutions when we embark on the new year—exercise more, save more, learn more, etc. However, if you’re the co-founder and CEO of Facebook, it seems as if your resolutions take on more of a Tony Stark-esque magnitude.

In a post on Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg states that his 2016 resolution is to create a robot assistant similar to Jarvis in ‘Iron Man’.

Zuckerberg writes:

“I’m going to start by exploring what technology is already out there. Then I’ll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home — music, lights, temperature and so on. I’ll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell. I’ll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max’s room that I need to check on when I’m not with her. On the work side, it’ll help me visualize data in VR to help me build better services and lead my organizations more effectively.”

Zuckerberg says that each year he likes to set new personal challenges. Last year, he learned Mandarin, read two books a month and met a new person every day. This year, his challenge is all about invention.

As sci-fi fans know, this endeavor carries a certain amount of risks—Skynet, Ultron and catastrophes of that nature. But if Zuckerberg’s Jarvis can learn to prepare a decent charcuterie, create a near-perfect playlist and understand the nuances of mood lighting, maybe it’s worth it.
