Groovy New Collectibles From Sideshow
A few months back, the team at Sideshow Collectibles announced to the excitement of many a fanboy that they had obtained the license to make products based on the cult classic ‘Evil Dead’ franchise! In the time since the announcement of gaining this license, things have been seemingly quite on the ‘Evil Dead’ front at Sideshow, leaving fans wondering when we might hear a bit more about what kind of products we could expect coming our way. This week that silence has been broken with the reveal of their all new 1:6 Scale Ash Williams figure straight out of ‘Evil Dead II’! This fantastic new figure comes packing Ash’s Boomstick, a chainsaw hand, and a whole lot more! Check out the release from Sideshow Collectibles below:
Time to get revved horror fans – everyone’s favorite chainsaw-wielding hero is here! From Sam Raimi’s 1987 sequel, Evil Dead II, Sideshow Collectibles is proud to introduce the Ash Williams Sixth Scale Figure.
Capturing all that is awesome about Bruce Campbell as the cult classic icon, Ash Williams returns to the remote cabin in the woods where he must hack and slash his way past hordes of relentlessly deranged Deadites who want him dead by dawn. Just your average convenience store employee with a penchant for sweet-talking the ladies, the resilient, blood-stained survivor has been through hell and back in his torn shirt and brown pants. Thanks to the forces of darkness summoned by the evil Necronomicon, the glorious gorefest continues as Henrietta’s disfigured remains emerge from the cellar, dying to swallow his soul. But ‘armed’ with more than cheesy quips, Ash can definitely hold his own with his infamous chainsaw appendage, and handy sawed-off double barrel shotgun. Bring it on, baby.
The Ash Williams Sixth Scale Figure specially features:
Unique male body with double-jointed chainsaw arm
Detailed likeness of Bruce Campbell as Ash from Evil Dead II
Tailored and weathered costume with shotgun rig, as seen at the end of the film
Chainsaw
Shotgun
Four (4) interchangeable hands including: – Shotgun grip – Relaxed hand – C-grip – Fist
One (1) pair of boots
Henrietta hand
Necronomicon
Exclusive possessed severed right hand
This 1:6 Scale Evil Dead II Ash Williams figure is set to release in Q4 2016 with an anticipated retail price of $239.99!

Which Side Is Figuarts On?
Their figures for previous Marvel Studios projects have been phenomenal, and now the team at Figuarts looks to be tackling ‘Captain America: Civil War’ with an all new series of super poseable figures! The first figure we’re getting a look at is the films titular hero himself, Captain America! These first images come courtesy of Dengeki Hobby via ToyArk, who have a full image gallery of the upcoming figure! So far Cap here is the only confirmed figure for this line, although Iron Man (who is the next most obvious choice) has also been teased, which more figures hopefully on the way! This all new ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Figuarts figure is set to release in May 2016!

But hey, they look awesome and at their $4 each price tag it’s hard not to imagine what a cool battlefield you could build for these awesome ‘Dragon Ball Z’ Figme minifigures when they release in March! Characters set to be included in this first wave are Goku, Super Saiyin Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyin Vegeta, Krillin, Piccolo, Freeza, and Cell!
