The leading ladies of ‘Ghostbusters‘ have released another fun set photo and this one shows them out on the streets of New York City doing what they do best. Not only do we have a new image from the film but we’ve also vaguely learned a bit about the ghosts that will be giving them problems. This is the reboot that no one asked for but at least visually has been shaping up with each new photo released, lets just hope that the writing and acting can deliver a new generation of Ghostbusters that will have us actually looking forward to a sequel and not dreading it. I’m looking squarely at ‘Fantastic Four’ as the other most recent reboot with four central heroes that had an otherworldly enemy to go up against that crashed and burned at the box office.

First lets take a look at the foursome walking by a firetruck which has clearly seen better days.

It isn’t just modern ghosts that we’ll see the foursome facing though as there will be a plethora of eras represented by the angry undead invading the city. The variety that we’ll see on screen includes:

Pilgrims, old-timey sailors, Revolutionary War spirits, and even a couple of zoot-suited gangsters are ready to take on four formidable female busters looking to rid the city of its phantasmic filth.

While the original ‘Ghostbusters’ had ghosts from various time periods this one seems to be making more of a point of it and I wonder how that will play out on screen. Will these ghosts from different eras be working together for whatever haunting is going on or will they be separated in their own time periods is something I’d kind of curious about. It still isn’t enough to sell me on the film though and that opinion won’t change until we can check out an actual trailer which should be dropping soon with the film due out in June.

Are you looking forward to the variety of ghosts that we’ll see the city’s saviours go up against? What are your thoughts on the latest shot revealed from the ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot?

‘Ghostbusters’ won’t be afraid of ghosts on July 15th, 2016. It stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Charles Dance, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Chris Hemsworth.
