The cast of the upcoming Harry Potter spinoff ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ is filling out quite nicely. After acquiring Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne as main character Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston and Alison Sudol joined David Yates’ movie written by J.K. Rowling. Earlier this week, Colin Farrell became the latest star to enter the Potterverse. Now, we have word that two more actresses have joined the fray as well.
According to The Wrap, Irish actress Jenn Murray has landed a key part in ‘Fantastic Beasts’ opposite Ezra Miller’s supposed rival to Redmayne’s author/magizoologist. But before she embarks on a journey to the wizarding world, Murray is set to appear in a supporting role in Fox Searchlight’s awards contender ‘Brooklyn.’ She also recently wrapped ‘Love and Friendship’ alongside Chloe Sevigny and Stephen Fry for ‘Metropolitan’ and ‘The Last Days of Disco’ filmmaker Whit Stillman.
Alongside Murray, ten-year-old Faith Wood-Blagrove is the latest addition to the cast. She was chosen from a global casting call to play a character named Modesty. No further details have been released about her character just yet, but maybe we’ll learn more when shooting begins.
These two actress will also join Dan Fogler, who is lined up to play a muggle, and another one of Scamander’s rivals named Jacob that is rumored to be played by Josh Gad or Michael Cera.
