Dontnod Entertainment has revealed that the story for ‘Remember Me 2’ has already been written. However, they stated that it’s up to Capcom for the title to be made.

The news came to light in a recent Siliconera interview with Dontnod Entertainment Creative Director Jean-Maxime Moris where he expressed his desire to create a sequel to ‘Remember Me’.

“I would absolutely love to [work on a sequel],” Morris said to Siliconera. “We know what we would do for Remember Me 2′. The main story has been written we know what we would add to the recipe. We know what we would fix. It’s a game that’s ready to be made, but that decision is Capcom’s to make.”

However, even if Capcom did want a sequel to ‘Remember Me,’ Dontnod Entertainment is still currently hard at work on their episodic game series entitled ‘Life is Strange,’ which is being published by Square Enix. And depending on that series’ success, Dontnod Entertainment’s development on ‘Remember Me 2’ could be pushed even further.

“Obviously we need to see and Square Enix needs to see how the first season [of ‘Life is Strange’] does to really decide whether we kick it off or not,” Morris commented.

So who knows, maybe gamers will get ‘Remember Me 2’ or even ‘Life is Strange: Season 2.’ Regardless, there could be hope for gamers who are yearning for more out of Dontnod Entertainment’s existing properties.

‘Remember Me’ was initially released on PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC in June 2013 to somewhat mixed to positive reviews. ScienceFiction.com  writer Alan Robinson gave the title a 4/5 Atoms in his review, citing that the game was “something truly unique, offering an excellently-written story complete with superb voice-acting and entertaining gameplay to carry you to the end.”

For those interested in Dontnod Entertainment’s current work, the first episode of ‘Life is Strange’ is available now for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC. A second episode is expected to release sometime in March.
