Netflix will be unveiling a new series based on Marvel Comics’ ‘Daredevil’ in 2015, the first of a series of shows that will debut on the streaming service, in addition to Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.  As Daredevil creeps closer to its premier, the first images of ‘Boardwalk Empire’ alum Charlie Cox have surfaced in both guises, the Man Without Fear as well as his alter ego, blind attorney Matt Murdoch.

You can glimpse them below:

Perhaps the image is just a preliminary costume, but somewhat disappointingly, it looks as if this Daredevil is ditching his crimson uniform in favor of solid black.  Even the forgettable Ben Affleck kept the comic book color scheme.  The image isn’t the clearest, but as of now, this Daredevil strongly resembles Rex Smith’s appearance as the same character in an ‘Incredible Hulk’ TV movie from the 80s.  (See below)

But perhaps we should wait to judge, once the show debuts.  Here is the show’s synopsis:

“Marvel’s Daredevil” is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.”

Are you excited to see Daredevil in live action (again)?  Do you prefer the more logical black uniform, or would you rather see red?
