Earlier this week, a number of special features from the ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Blu-ray and DVD leaked online. Naturally, Disney and Marvel were quick to take them down, but shortly after that, some deleted scenes managed to make their way onto the internet in a more official capacity. Now, as you’re likely taking a break in between viewings of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe briefly with the Star-Spangled Avenger.
While the physical copies don’t hit shelves until September 9th, Steve Rogers’ latest adventure will be available for digital download on August 19th. But before fans can relive the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. once again in all it’s glory, Marvel.com has shared a few scenes that ended up on the cutting room floor to promote the home release of the movie. In the first scene, Alexander Pierce briefs his agents on the criminal actions of Captain America. Then, we find out what happens to Cap’s nifty new uniform when he goes into hiding with Black Widow:
The second scene features Agents Maria Hill and Jasper Sitwell as Cobie Smulders’ character is reassigned from tracking down the Sentinel of Liberty due to her connection with him and Agent Romanoff:
Finally, as a break from all the seriousness of these deletes scenes, a gag reel from the film has also made it’s way online. Some of the best outtakes come from standouts Anthony Mackie and Robert Redford, but Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, and Scarlett Johansson get in on the action too:
