With the Cinematic Universe in full swing you might what other worlds the behemoth might want to enter, and now it looks like it has its sights set on cosplay. Wait, cosplay? That’s right! ‘Marvel Method: Cosplay’ is the first series in the Marvel Original Video Series that is set to follow the process of creating a Marvel costume. The show will have its big reveal at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. The series has just been launched and will continue to be released every Tuesday and Thursday and go from the selection process up to the entire reveal at the Marvel booth at SDCC!

Involved will be host and writer of Marvel’s series ‘The Watcher’, Lorraine Cink and associate producer and cosplay expert Judy Stephens. They will also be reaching out to some famous names in the cosplay community for advice! You’ll see them check with Carly Bradt who has a track record for amazing costumes, Katie Hondrogen who is a wig expert, and Yaya Han who is a professional cosplayer who has previously been featured on ‘Heroes of Cosplay‘. .

As an added bonus, the crew will get a chance to work with Yaya who has previously portrayed the character they have decided to recreate: Scarlet Witch! I’m sure it helped their selection that the mutant will be introduced and featured in ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron‘ but I wonder if they will be going with the classic look, the recent uniform, or the one in the movie.

Lets see what they had to say about their selection followed by the first episode of the series:

“After considering so many powerful women of the Marvel Universe, we continued to be drawn back to the Scarlet Witch”, says Cink. “Her recent death in Uncanny Avengers, her upcoming appearance in Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and her stunning redesign by John Cassaday for the Marvel NOW! initiative all played part in our ultimate decision to build her costume. However, the true linchpin for me was that Wanda Maximoff is one of the most complex, dynamic and powerful players in the Marvel Universe – who could resist the opportunity to be her for a day?”

Marvel Method: Cosplay – Episode 1: Associate Producer and Cosplay Expert, Judy Stephens approaches host and writer of Marvel’s The Watcher to embark on an adventure in  cosplay to create a Marvel costume like never before to reveal at SDCC 2014. Together with professional costumer, Carly Bradt, they are using The Marvel Method: Cosplay.

Are you excited to see Marvel embracing the cosplay community? Are you looking forward to seeing how the outfit is constructed from beginning to end? Which character do you think would have been a good pick aside from Scarlet Witch and why? Share your thoughts below true believers!
