In the first film for ‘The Avengers‘ the other guy did a lot of grunting and spoke a total of two words by saying “Puny God” after defeating Loki. While the dialogue was said by Mark Ruffalo, all of the grunts came from the previous iconic Hulk, Lou Ferrigno. In ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron‘ we are going to be hearing a lot more from the Hulk but this time it seems like Ferrigno is going to be in charge of doing the voice of the character he had played for so many years.

Over at WonderCon, Ferrigno was asked if he would be doing any additional work on the film. According to Nuke The Fridge, theyt reported “YES, he will be doing the voice over work for The Hulk.”

I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of Ruffalo as Banner too, but this is just a great throw back to the character Ferrigno helped portray on the small screen for five years from 1977 – 1982, the cartoon that ran from 1996 – 1997, a security guard in the first ‘Hulk’ movie, and the voice of Hulk in ‘The Incredible Hulk’.

Ferrigno has had a long and close relationship with the big man and I’m glad to see they’ll be bringing him back for another go with him. (I’m also glad they aren’t going to dress him up as The Hulk again.) Since he as more lines, I’m curious if they are going to have him start becoming more intelligent in the film or if he’ll still just be the giant gamma filled ball of rage that he usually tends to be.
