Most people aren’t too fond of commercials on your average day, but Super Bowl Sunday is a whole different ball game. In fact, some people just tune in to see what creative ways companies come up with to sell their product or promote their movies or TV shows. Among those beer and car ads this were a couple of Marvel superheroes, which was incredibly fitting since the game took place in the shadow of their hometown, New York City. You may have already seen the amazing ‘Captain America: Winter Soldier’ and ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction‘ trailers, but now prepare for the Big Apple’s favorite arachnid to bring the house down… LITERALLY!

Late last week, Sony Pictures released the first part of their action-packed Super Bowl commercial for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’. But during the game, not only did we get part two, but we also got a brand new full-length trailer as well. First, we pick up where we last left Spidey as he was in the process of saving Gwen Stacy from falling to her doom. Whereas the first part of this advertisement featured some footage that we’ve seen already, this one contained plenty of fresh material for us to enjoy. Check it out below:

Then, a new trailer titled “Enemies Unite” that ran for nearly four minutes debuted on game day as well. Just as the Broncos had their hands full with the Seahawks at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands, our friendly neighborhood wall-crawler will be just as busy as enemies are preparing to come out of the woodwork in an attempt to take the hero down. In the video below, you’ll definitely get our best look yet at what Marc Webb has in store to the follow-up to his 2012 reboot that brought the classic hero into a new age, including the origin of Electro:

What did you think of the newest promotional videos for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’? Do you think that it will be better than the first one? Are you worried that it will pull a ‘Spider-Man 3’ and overload in the villains department? And does anyone else think it’s weird that the Rhino has guns on his suit? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comment section.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Field swings into theaters in 3D on May 2, 2014.
