I’m not going to lie, I’ve always felt that I was more of a ‘Star Trek’ fan over a ‘Star Wars’ fan. As much as I’ve felt that way though, the results of a recent ‘Star Trek’ fan favorite of films from best to worst has me thinking I’m not as die hard of a fan as I thought I was.

At the 2013 Creation Entertainment’s Official Star Trek Convention in Vegas that just went down, one of the panels was hosted by StarTrek.com’s One Trek Mind blogger Jordan Hoffman and was titled ‘Best Star Trek Movie’. It’s pretty clear what the subject was and for a bonus they threw in a ‘Star Trek’ like movie that wasn’t directly from the series – ‘Galaxy Quest’. So the panel proceeded to rate all 12 ‘Star Trek’ films in order with the bonus feature.

The results? Well let’s just say that the fans that attended this convention are not also fans of Abram’s most recent work (though apparently liked the first installment of the reboot.)

So let’s go through the list from best to worst, including ‘Galaxy Quest’ smack dab in the middle.

The Fans’ Best Star Wars Movies In Order Are…
#1 ‘Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan’
#2 ‘Star Trek: First Contact’
#3 ‘Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country’
#4 ‘Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home’
#5 ‘Star Trek III: The Search for Spock’
#6 ‘Star Trek’
#7 ‘Galaxy Quest’
#8 ‘Star Trek: Generations’
#9 ‘Star Trek: The Motion Picture’
#10 ‘Star Trek: Nemesis’
#11 ‘Star Trek: Insurrection’
#12 ‘Star Trek V: The Final Frontier’
#13 ‘Star Trek Into Darkness

I really found it interesting how the original vs modern Kahn films stacked up to the true diehard Trekkies out there as our own loved it.

Personally, I would have moved ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ up above ‘Galaxy Quest’ and ‘The Voyage Home’ below ‘Generations’.

How does the list stack up in your mind. Were they too hard on ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’? Was anything else on there out of your preferred order? Sound off below!
