In just a few short months, movie goers will finally see the reboot of the Superman franchise when ‘Man of Steel’ hits theaters. The film is one that Superman fanboys and fangirls have been looking forward to with a bit of trepidation, and who can blame them? ‘Superman Returns’ anyone?

The trailer released so far depicted a more somber and drama filled version of the Supes origin story and beyond the quick bout of flying in the air, no real action was shown. Now we know why!

Earlier in the month, executives were given a sneak preview of the movie and a tipster sent JoBlo reactions to the screening and we’re happy to hear that ‘Man of Steel’ may be the movie Superman finally deserves since Christopher Reeve portrayed the hero from Krypton! Here are the bullet points the tipster sent about the film:

– Imagine a Nolan story with Snyder effects/action.
– It’s the best movie of the year.
– There’s TONS of action with Superman kicking all kinds of ass in his suit.
– The cape is CG’d most of the time so it can look awesome.
– They have intentionally left out most of the Super action in trailers to save it.
– It’s not nearly as dour and serious as the trailers suggest.
– The movie is complete, minus the 3D post-conversion, which is currently taking place

From the list given, it seems the trailers don’t even show a tenth of the potential of what the film will be like! Kudos for the filmmakers for not spoiling the film and hyping it up too soon like most movies. The tipster does state that there will be a Nolan-esque quality to the movie (a la ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy) but with Snyder’s signature stylish action moments. That’s a relief as it’s nice to know that there will be “TONS of action” because that’s what makes Superman the Super man that he is, right?

More than likely, more promo materials that will show what we’ve been missing will be released as the film’s debut gets closer, but it’s reassuring to know that the film is garnering positive reactions so far, right?

‘Man of Steel’ stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne, Christopher Meloni, and Diane Lane and will be flying into theaters on June 14th.
