You can’t have too much royalty when it comes to ‘Once Upon a Time’ as the ABC series has just added two fairy tale princesses into the mix: Mulan and Princess Aurora

Jamie Chung:

EW is reporting that former MTV ‘Real World’ participant Jamie Chung will be joining Storybrooke next season. Chung has starred in several movies and TV shows since her ‘Real World’ appearance. Many may recognize her as Stu’s fiancé Lauren in ‘The Hangover Part II’’ or as Amber in ‘Sucker Punch‘. She has also completed filming the terror filled trans-Pacific horror flight flick ‘7500.’

On ‘Once Upon a Time,’ Chung will be playing the role of Mulan based on the ancient Chinese poem about Hua Mulan, a young farm girl who takes the place of her elderly father in the Chinese army. The poem was the basis of the now familiar Disney film ‘Mulan’ starring the voices of Ming Na, Eddie Murphy and George Takei.

How Mulan will be introduced and the involvement she’ll have with the rest of the residents of Stonybrooke is yet to be revealed.

Sarah Bolger:

Keeping with the Disney theme, TVLine is reporting that Sarah Bolger has also just signed on for a recurring character on the show.

Bolger’s credits include playing Mary Tudor in Showtime’s ‘The Tudors’ and she has appeared in ‘Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker,’ ‘The Spiderwick Chronicles’ and ‘The Moth Diaries.’ She also starred in the pilot ‘Locke and Key’ that was never picked up.

Bolger will play the role of Princess Aurora who many also know as Sleeping Beauty. With the introduction of the princess, does that mean the return of ‘True Blood’s’ Kristin Bauer van Straten is not too far behind? Bauer van Straten played the role of the wicked Maleficent who appeared in the episodes ‘The Thing You Love Most’ and the series’ season finale, ‘A Land Without Magic.’

Filming for Season 2 of ‘Once Upon a Time’ will begin in a couple weeks. Both Bolger and Chung will be joining Meghan Ory and Emilie De Ravin who were recently announced bumped up to series regulars.

With the show making an appearance at this year’s Comic-Con next week, more information will undoubtedly be revealed about these characters and more! Keep checking back here for more ‘Once Upon a Time’ updates!
