With the release of Sony Pictures’ new ‘Spider-Man’ reboot just over a month away, it seems like there’s a new trailer every week or so… and that doesn’t count all the viral marketing. But rather than be annoyed by all the footage coming out like I am getting with some of the ‘Prometheus’ stuff, I am eating the Spider-Man footage up like Little Mikey with some Life cereal. (Did I just date myself too much with that reference? Google it, youngsters!)
But back to the topic at hand, Sony released this new TV spot for ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ yesterday which features a few seconds of new footage… It’s so cool to see Sally Field as Aunt May. What a great actress!
As an added bonus, SoCool and CBM released a new image of stunt man and skateboard phenom William Spencer doing some board trick in full Spidey gear. I may be old enough to remember Mikey’s cereal commercials but this makes me want to pull out my old deck and shred some asphalt.
‘Amazing Spider-Man’ is directed by Marc Webb, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and Dennis Leary. It swings into theaters in 2D, 3D, IMAX, and IMAX 3D on July 3, 2012.
