It appears that actress Camilla Luddington will be moving from Buckingham Palace to Bon Temps, Louisiana as she takes a reoccurring role in season five of HBO’s hit vampire drama ‘True Blood’, which has a focus on fairies this season.
Previously appearing as Kate Middleton in the Lifetime movie ‘William and Kate’ and Lizzie, Charlie Runkle’s nanny, in a nine episode arc in season five of David Duchovny’s Showtime series ‘Californiacation’, Luddington will take the role of a fairy in ‘True Blood’. Deadline reports that she will play Claudette, “one of Claude’s many sisters who gives Sookie insight into what it means to be faerie.” Claude, who will be played by Giles Matthey, is Sookie’s crass fae cousin who owns a male strip club named Hooligans.
‘True Blood’ returns to our television sets later this year with a twelve-episode season, and it will mark the last season that showrunner Alan Ball will stay at the helm. The creator of the sexy vampire show is set to step down as showrunner and take up an executive producer role instead if the show goes to a sixth season.
What do you think of this casting decision? Think Camilla will fit in with the Bon Temps gang?
