Looks like there will be another Hemsworth to keep an eye on! According to Movie Hole, Liam Hemsworth (brother of Chris Hemsworth who played the title role in ‘Thor’) has just signed on to star in a new sci-fi time travel romantic drama called ‘Timeless.’

Hemsworth (Liam that is) will play a husband whose wife dies and leaves him a fortune. Haunted by her memory, he uses the money to build a time machine so he can go back one last time to be with her.

The screenplay was written by Bill Kelly who has written several scripts revolving around time distortions such as ‘Blast from the Past’, ‘Premonition’, and ‘Enchanted.’  Phillip Noyce (‘Tru Calling’, ‘Revenge’, ‘Salt’) has been signed to direct.

It looks like 2012 is going to be a big year for the Hemsworth brothers. Chris dons the hammer of Thor again in ‘The Avengers’ coming out in May. And now younger brother Liam will be playing Gale in the upcoming adaptation of Suzanne Collin’s best-selling novel ‘Hunger Games’. Liam’s also busy with a part in ‘Expendables 2’ and is rumored to be the voice of Jen in the upcoming sequel to Jim Henson’s ‘The Dark Crystal’.

Filming for ‘Timeless’ will begin in July with a film release sometime in 2013.
