November 11, 2011 (or 11-11-11) will be upon us in just over two weeks. According to the new supernatural horror film, that palindromic date heralds the end of the world. According to the latest trailer for the film (seen below), on 11-11 of this year, a gateway will open somewhere in the world and “something” will come through.
The film follows a young author as he travels to Barcelona, Spain to visit his dying father. While there, events begin to unravel as he discovers that he is at the center of an apocalyptic happening. The filmmakers have been pretty secretive other than the flashes of horrific images that have appeared in the early trailers. Today, a new trailer and several set pics found their way to the net.

As a fan of apocalyptic horror, I think the premise has a lot of potential but I’m not sold based on this trailer. If the world really doesn’t end as of 11-11-11, I think I may wait until this one hits disc later this year.
