As filming for Joss Whedon’s ‘The Avengers’ continues to roll film in Cleveland, avid fans are rolling their own cameras to catch footage from the set. Last week, we got a look at Captain America (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) kicking tail in a fight with an unnamed alien invasion.

This week brings us our first look at Tom Hiddleston’s Loki in a showdown with Captain America. The footage shows Evans and Hiddleston and their stunt doubles on the Chicago set that has been made up to stand in for Stutgart, Germany.

In related news escaping from the set, it seems like the scuffle between Cap and Loki begins with Loki attempting to get the crowd to bow before him. A pedestrian stands up to Loki and Captain America shows up to save the day. The news isn’t the scene but rather that it has been confirmed that actor Philip Baker Hall will be joining the ‘Avengers’ cast as that rebellious pedestrian. Hall is a veteran of film and TV, most memorable to me as Detective Bookman on ‘Seinfeld’. Hall is a great actor and it remains to be seen if his role is more substantial than a mere pedestrian.
