HBO Go, the video steaming service that allows HBO subscribers to view their favorite shows online has been available on desktops and mobile devices for a while. With the number of people using iPads, Androids and the like, this service has been a great success for the company.

According to HBO CEO Jeff Bewkes, you’ll soon be able to watch HBO Go on your gaming console when the service makes the jump to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Since it wasn’t mentioned in the announcement, it appears as if Nintendo’s Wii console is getting passed over, probably because it doesn’t support HD.

When is this going to happen? HBO didn’t issue an official street date for HBO Go on console, but since it means fans of ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘True Blood’ can get their fix yet another way, I expect it’ll come sooner than later.

What do you think? Do you currently use HBO Go? Would you subscribe to HBO if it meant you could watch on your console?
