Based on the best-selling book, HBO will debut ‘Game Of Thrones’ on April 17, 2011.

It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men…all will play the ‘Game of Thrones’.
‘Game Of Thrones’, based on Martin’s best-selling book series ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’, stars Sean Bean (‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘The Island’), Mark Addy (‘Robin Hood’, ‘The Time Machine’) Lena Heady (‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’) Emilia Clarke (‘Triassic Attack’) and Peter Dinklage (‘The Chronicles of Narnia’). Martin, who adapted his book series for the television show, will serve as executive producer.
