The third film, based on C.S. Lewis’ book series, ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader’ debuted with a very weak $24.5 million opening in U.S. theaters.

Now distributed by Fox, since Disney abandoned the franchise after a disappointing first sequel, the movie debuted in 1,988 3D locations and a total of 3,555 theaters in the U.S. and collected $81 million from 85 territories overseas.
