The Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to introduce us to the Skrulls in ‘Captain Marvel,’ and we’ve got a new shot that shows off both Ben Mendelsohn as his character Talos and a secondary Skrull from the film as well! These shapeshifting aliens are some of the longest running cosmic villains that have threatened the Earth over the years and seeing them in the MCU means we could have tons of upcoming story arcs. It has also been hinted that this could be the first introduction of a future “Secret Invasion” that could change everything we know about some of our heroes if any of them end up having been replaced by Skrulls.
Mendelsohn has been coming on strong as a villain in films like ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ and ‘Ready Player One’ so it is exciting to see what he’ll be able to do for Marvel Studios. Speaking of seeing him, here is our new look at his character:
Mendelsohn has previously worked with the directors on ‘Mississippi Grand’ and shared what he enjoyed about playing Talos:
“They were asking me to do some stuff with this Skrull guy that was going to be fun and interesting. It’s different, but it’s the same. It’s just an actor and a camera.”
We’ll see how different he ends up being when the film comes to life later this year.
