A Fantastic Look At Joaquin Phoenix's Joker Costume Has Been Revealed

After three months, production has wrapped on ‘Joker’ and a new photo of Joaquin Phoenix‘s potential last appearance on set has surfaced. We see Phoenix in his full-on Joker outfit looking to have potentially already moved past his normal persona of Arthur Fleck and having entered his life of crime. This last day of shooting had the actor doing still photo poses which can be seen here as well as a variety of scenes as Arthur Fleck working across from Zazie Beetz‘ character on a rather steep stairway in Brooklyn.

You can click through to the Daily Mail to see all eight of these photos. As Phoenix is seen in and out of costume on this stairway, it feels like it could prove to be an essential location for the transition of Batman’s greatest villain.

It still feels like a stretch for DC to have all of these connected live-action films, having already introduced us to a younger Joker in Jared Leto, and now are giving us an older take on the character in what appears to either be an unrelated movie or a secondary live-action set of films. The very idea of this movie has had many questioning if DC and Warner Bros. still has a master plan for the cinematic slate of DC films.

Are you looking forward to seeing Joaquin Phoenix playing Joker in these standalone shots? Do you think Warner Bros. knows what it’s doing by giving us another iteration of the Clown Prince of Crime or is the studio just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks these days? Under the direction of Todd Phillips, the film centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is
an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of a man
disregarded by society is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale.

Joaquin Phoenix will be laughing his way onto the big screen as the ‘Joker’ on October 4th, 2019!
