Stan Lee has passed away but in some ways, it will be business as usual at POW! Entertainment as Camsing has shared that they will continue producing his projects. Camsing is the Chinese firm which purchased the studio last year from the “father of superheroes.” Lee had plenty of IPs in production and various stages of development which the firm has stated the studio will continue to produce.

According to Shane Duffy, CEO of POW! Entertainment:

“We at Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment are saddened by the loss of our friend and mentor Stan Lee, the father of pop culture. His passing today marks a devastating and painful moment in time, but the legacy of Stan Lee, which includes Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Hulk, X-Men, The Avengers and thousands of other characters both for Marvel and his company Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment, will continue to entertain the world and true believers for generations to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the fans of not only his work, but of him, as a friend who made the world a better place. He was a true icon and pioneer with no comparable second.”

The studio has had a multitude of ideas in various stages of development, and it is great to see that Camsing is making sure that they can be completed. It doesn’t come as a surprise that they would want to continue this work and make good on their investment. However, it should be noted that it sounds as if both Lee and the company had planned for this eventuality:

“Through careful planning with Stan, we are confident his vision will continue to be recognized through our current and future Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment projects…The Group will firmly push forward the development of Stan Lee IP and strive to integrate Stan Lee elements with oriental tradition to realize Mr. Stan Lee’s great vision.”

After Camsing purchased POW! Entertainment last year, Lee became the Chief Creative Officer for the company. They had just released both ‘Stan Lee’s Work Force’ and ‘Between The Lines’ with plenty of other works to be released in the coming years.

Are you thrilled that POW! Entertainment will still be completing the projects based on Stan Lee’s ideas? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
