Can we ever get enough Loki? Even though he is technically a bad guy, Tom Hiddleston has appeared in more Maarvel movies than some headliners and has been a fan favorite since he first sauntered onscreen in the first ‘Thor’. Now fans are getting a bonus dose of the God of Mischief, as Disney+ will be offering a TV series with Hiddleston reprising his role. Not much is known about the series yet, including the creative team or when it will be available. (Although Disney+ is expected to launch in the fall of 2019, ‘Loki’ may or may not be part of its initial offerings.) It is believed that this series will consist of six to eight episodes.
Hiddleston popped up on Twitter to share his take on the new endeavor.

Okay, that’s not much to go on. But it’s still exciting to imagine a ‘Loki’ series that will be crafted by Marvel Studios, who also deliver the popular movie franchise. Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, will be involved with the creation of the new programs for Disney+. (As opposed to the other Marvel TV series, which originate at Marvel TV, a separate division.)
Also reportedly in the pipeline are shows featuring Elizabeth Olsen‘s Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch and a team-up series with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson/The Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier.
The biggest question is whether or not the ‘Loki’ series will be a flashback, considering the way things ended in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. Could the very existence of a ‘Loki’ series possibly spoil a major development from ‘Avengers 4’? Well… considering how tight a lid is being kept on that flick, it’s probably a flashback.
At this point, fans may or may not get an appearance from Hiddleston’s Loki in ‘Avengers 4’ which is expected to feature a time travel storyline. That movie opens on May 4, 2019.
