If you’ve been unsure as to how ratings for ‘Charmed‘ have been holding out, it would seem that they are high enough for The CW to order at least nine more episodes of the series. This is thrilling news for fans who are now learning that the show’s inital outing is getting a full season order which will put it at a 22-episode run. The CW has been struggling on Sundays, and this series is now pulling in 1.9 million viewers with a 0.7 among adults 18-49 per episode.
The network has also ordered three additional episodes of both ‘All American’ and the ‘Vampire Diaries’ spin-off ‘Legacies’ which puts each of these at shorter 16-episode seasons.
We know that the network doesn’t just factor in live views but also streaming interest through the website and app for deciding on their series extension and renewals though these numbers aren’t revealed by the network. However, while they don’t show off the numbers, it is common knowledge that at least ‘Legacies’ is in the top three spots of their most popular digital offerings following only after ‘The Flash’ and ‘Riverdale.’
‘Charmed’ will have to work at keeping up the ratings for the rest of the season as The CW is offering five midseason shows in 2019 with at least the two newcomers, ‘Rosewell, New ‘Roswell, New Mexico’ and ‘In the Dark’ looking to expand. Also returning in the midseason is ‘The 100’ and the final seasons of ‘Jane the Virgin’ and ‘iZombie.’
