If you would like the finale for ‘Timeless‘ to be an “Unforgettable Thrill Ride Through Past, Present and Future” it looks like you’re in luck according to the executive producers. While fans of the NBC series aren’t thrilled that it is coming to an end, the canceled series is at least going out with style as it has a 2-hour finale that’ll allow for it to properly bring the show to a close. The exit for the series will debut on Thursday, December 20th, 2018 at 8/7c.
Executive producers Eric Kripke, Shawn Ryan, and Arika Lisanne Mittman haven’t just promised that it’ll be action-packed but, since it will air during the holidays, it will have the flair of the season:
“… a healthy dose of Christmas spirit. Spread across three centuries and two continents, the finale will test Lucy, Wyatt and the entire Time Team like never before as they try to #SaveRufus, preserve history and put a stop to Rittenhouse once and for all.”
Fans of the show will be thrilled to know that Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Višnjić, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, and Claudia Doumit will all be returning for this final installment. Behind the scenes, we’ll see that the first hour of the finale was written by Lauren Greer who was responsible for “The Day Reagan Was Shot” while showrunner Mittman finalized the last tale in this story. John Showalter will be in the director’s chair for the last two chapters and was responsible for four of the previous episodes.
Hopefully, they’ll be able to deliver on the massive cliffhanger from Season 2.
