The return date for ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ has been released from CBS All Access. The streaming service also gave fans a sneak peek of Ethan Peck’s Spock. New episodes of ‘Discovery’ will be released on Thursdays, starting January 17 on CBS All Access.
A trailer was shown during the ‘Discovery’ panel at New York Comic Con panel on Saturday and introduced the new Spock during its final moments. A voiceover can be heard in the trailer right before the character is revealed. The voice says:
“As a child, I had the same vision again and again. Now I understand its meaning, and where it must lead.”
It was announced a few months earlier that Peck, the grandson of legendary actor Gregory Peck, would be taking on the iconic character of Spock. Peck was previously featured in the ill-fated ABC Family adaptation of the film ‘10 Things I Hate About You.’ His other television credits included ‘Madame Secretary’ and ‘Gossip Girl.’
The new trailer also gives fans their first look at Number One, played by new recurring guest star Rebecca Romijn, as well as a glimpse of Section 31’s newest recruit, Philippa Georgiou, played by Michelle Yeoh.
