The Walking Dead

The new trailer is out for ‘The Walking Dead‘ and features the bold new world and direction that the series will be taking. The series will flash forward a couple of years and some of the changes look like they’ll play up to longtime fans of the series. When ‘The Walking Dead’ killed off Carl in the eighth season of ‘The Walking Dead’ but we already know that the ninth will top that. In the upcoming season, we’re expecting to see Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes leave and the new trailer places him front and center as this preview kicks off, with a huge smile on his face. He’s shown spending some quality time with the family with one hand being held by Danai Guirira’s Michonne as they watch his daughter painting.

Things can only go up from there, right? Not so much. You can check it out right here:

After the happy times, things get back to normal, as in things aren’t looking up for our survivors. Resentment between the various cities, graffiti that looks to have an ulterior meaning, oh, and a horde of Walkers likely being controlled by The Whisperers are all on view to enjoy. Not much on any of the new characters were on display here though.

While Rick might end up going out this season in a blaze of glory, we do know that the network has plans for up to ten more years of the series so it’ll be interesting if they lay any of the groundwork as to where the show could go next this season. The previous teaser didn’t show quite as much of what is going on with our survivors but did hint that life wasn’t as horrible as it had been with Negan on the loose.
