While actors tend to try to praise the films they are in, Graham McTavish (‘Preacher’,’Outlander’) has gone out of his way to lay praise on James Wan‘s work on putting ‘Aquaman‘ together. We’re still unsure as to McTavish’s role in the upcoming film, but the man is no stranger to doing amazing work in genre films from “The Hobbit” films to doing voicework in shows like ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ and ‘The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’.
While we don’t know what he is going to be doing on ‘Aquaman’ quite yet, this veteran actor was handing out compliments left and right about how Wan is handling the movie as he shared that:
“I was really impressed by his level of attention to detail, not just in the physical sense but in performance. Just he really had a very clear idea of exactly how he wanted every beat to play in that film. Certainly with my involvement and it was extraordinary actually, you would spend a lot of time on things, really tiny details, movements of props, the pace of movement, things that would establish a rhythm in the movie that I found incredibly impressive.”
As the props and importance of detail were called out a few times here, I’m almost going to bet that we see McTavish in some kind of motion capture role that plays on his amazing voice talent. Hopefully, he isn’t being brought in as just a background character but someone who could potentially show up in future installments if box office results warrant a sequel.
