David Harbour

David Harbour has been on the receiving end of a lot of (well earned) love from ‘Stranger Things’ viewers ever since the show debuted in 2016. And it’s not just fans who’ve been feeling the love. When the 2018 Emmy nominations were announced last month, ‘Stranger Things’ was well represented across the various award categories, with the series’ sophomore outing ultimately racking up a dozen nominations. And among those nominations, one of the more prominent feathers in the show’s cap is David Harbour getting the nod for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

While we won’t know the winners until next month, the cast and crew of ‘Stranger Things’ have nonetheless taken the opportunity to express their appreciation for their colleague, with perhaps the highest praise coming from the Duffer Brothers themselves, who credit Harbour with making his character – Jim Hopper – “far more interesting than we originally imagined.”

Via Deadline, members of the ‘Stranger Things’ cast and production crew – including Harbour himself, the Duffer Brothers, producer Shawn Levy, casting director Carmen Cuba, and co-stars Gaten Matarazzo and Millie Bobby Brown, among others – have released a spotlight video focused as part of the show’s “For your consideration…” campaign. As such, there’s certainly a fair bit of the video that’s devoted to giving Harbour a richly deserved pat on the back. However, it also discusses his approach to the character and Hopper’s evolution over the show’s two seasons to date.
